DIRECTIONS: Botswana has a well-developed road network with easy access to its neighbouring countries. The vast majority of the roads are tarmac. Francistown is about 650 km away from Gauteng and can be easily accessed through Martins Drift Border Post.
LOCATION: As you approach Francistown from Gaborone, at the first roundabout, turn right, and follow the road until you come to a T junction, turn left at the T and immediately you will see the sign board. And immediately turn left. You are there! From the Nata Route, straight on until the traffic circle, straight on, pass the Nyagabwe Hospital until you reach Traffic lights next to Trade Centre, carry on straight past the next traffic lights, straight on after the bridge next right turn, you are there.
FACILITIES: The Lodge boasts a homely restaurant and English Pub scenically situated with a large African terrace. A swimming pool is designed for all guests including young children. The Morojwa and Morula Rooms seat 100 people each, the Motswere Room seat 150 and the Mowana room 300. The entertainment area with a pool-side pub and band stand accommodates up to 500 guests for corporate functions, weddings, braais, and tailor made dinners and other festivities. The hotel presently boasts 49 delightful rooms, all tastefully decorated in rustic African theme. All rooms boast seven channel digital satellite television, fully air conditioned telephone and tea and coffee making facilities.
The Mophane Grill offers mouth watering cuisine inspired by many flavours of Africa. The lunch and dinner menu is a wonderful assortment of “home cooked” style meals all ready to tantalize your taste buds.
