LUXURY TENTS

The large observation platforms of the six luxury tents on stilts offer a breathtaking view towards the impressive Kalahari scenery with its red dunes and camel thorn trees. The tents are large and comfortable, tastefully furnished and possess their own bathrooms that can be reached via a wooden boardwalk. Each tent is equipped with a mosquito net, fridge and electric kettle.

PRIVATE BBQ

Each tent sports a private barbecue area. Situated on the dune, it is the perfect place to enjoy sunrise and sunset over the Kalahari.

GAME DRIVE OR SUNDOWN DRIVE

Enjoy almost 10,000 acres of pure Kalahari desert during a Game Drive. Climb red dunes that elevate up to 30 meters in our open off-road car and watch the spectacular animals and vegetation.

The following animals roam the private game reserve on almost 10,000 acres: Giraffe, eland, black wildebeest, blue wildebeest, Hartmann’s mountain zebra, plains zebra, nyala, impala, springbok, blesbok, red hartebeest, Oryx, kudu, steenbok, porcupine, pangolin, aardvark, warthog, ostrich, as well as many common small animals and waterfowl during rainy season.

For the most intense Kalahari feeling. Experience the Kalahari at close range. Relax and enjoy almost 10,000 acres of pure African wilderness. We offer guided and unguided theme hikes of 5 – 20 km.
The hiking trails are well maintained and marked.

Easily accessible via a tarmac road. From Windhoek, drive 190 km on the B1 direction Mariental/Keetmanshoop. 8 km south of Kalkrand leave the B1 and turn left onto the grounds of the lodge.
